ARQ annual review 2020

In the ARQ annual review Joining forces we look back on the year 2020 together. Last year ARQ International carried out several studies and projects in different countries. On this page, we highlight three international projects.

Baseline study on sexual violence in the Congo

ARQ International conducted an in-depth study into the impact of sexual violence on women in the Congo. The study establishes that sexual violence seriously disrupts the living conditions of those affected in many respects. Based on this knowledge, a new approach will be organized in partnership with Cordaid and ARQ International will start training medical staff.

Expanding psychosocial knowledge in South Sudan

Due to Covid, ARQ International converted an in-person training course for community counsellors in South Sudan to an online workshop. This training course forms part of the BoB (Build your own Buddy) innovation project, a collaboration between ARQ International, Red een Kind (Save a Child foundation), and TNO.

Support for young Syrian refugees in Jordan

Adolescent refugees have often gone through a great deal. Many parents do not know how to communicate with their children now that they are living in a different environment and are confronted with new problems. This is why ARQ International collaborated with Medair Jordan to develop a curriculum specifically aimed at these Syrian youngsters.
